The Hitler Mythology

So we humans mythologise the past and to a certain extent, we even sacralise the past. We dod this as individuals, as families, friendship groups and as societies. This is just what we do, it is inevitable. However just because it is an inevitable facet of all human societies does not mean we should not deconstruct these mythologies. I said the Hitler mythology, but Hitler is just the central figure of a much bigger mythology that encompasses the Nazis, the Second World War, "Appeasement", "Fascism", Germany in the First World War and indeed the whole rise of Germany in the nineteenth century. A wider mythology that may contain contradictory narratives within.
